Izzy is a sweet and adorable two-year-old. Her sassy flower headband made her even that much more adorable. I was pleased to be able to help her parents document this fun time in her childhood.

Sara Beth and I have known each other since the 5th grade! She and I have both recently decided to give our love of photography a front seat in our lives, so I was honored when she asked me to take her family’s picture earlier this year. She has three adorable children – twin boys and a sweet little girl. This shoot focuses on the family, browse the next post for pictures highlighting little Lily.

Ann and I have been friends since we were four years old. Her daughter, Libby, is the spitting image of Ann around that age, except not quite the tom-boy that she was. Her son, Eli, is a miniature version of his dad, and I’m guessing a similar personality at that age, but I can’t say that with authority. I always have a moment of nostalgia when photographing friends’ children…remembering all of the fun adventures we shared together, and thinking, “are we really old enough to have kids of our own?!”

This time of year in Colorado it’s really a gamble when it comes to whether or not the weather is going to cooperate with a shoot. Thankfully, more often than not, the sun comes out and makes even a chilly day bearable. After warming up the camera in their family room, the Brown family and I braved a chilly, but sunny, January morning in the suburban forest.
